I knew immediately I wanted to make Katlin Joiro one of our Model of the Month features the second I laid eyes on her at orientation meeting for the Swimsuit USA International Finals last year. Katlin was striking and really was a stand out.

Katlin is a beautiful Latina model from Colombia. I tried to speak English to her but she was not fluent, so lucky for me I know Spanish. We set up the shoot right away. Katlin Joiro ended up being the named the 2nd Runner Up at the 2014 Miss Swimsuit USA International Pageant right behind Australian beauty Elise Natalie.
She turned out to be a delight to work with and time to time she would laugh and my Spanish accent. I loved her long dark hair and cute smile. The weather was amazing when we shot and we started early enough in the morning to avoid the heat.
We had a blast running around getting video footage all throughout the Hard Rock Hotel Maya Riviera. At one point I got her into the water with my camera on the tripod just barely out of the water as I filmed her dancing in the ocean between two rocks. Impressed Katlin was willing to do whatever it took, in this case getting wet, to get the shot!
Once we finished the shoot, we headed off to breakfast because our appetites were in overdrive from all the early morning action on the beach. I loved making this Katlin Joiro model video. It was a great way to start my day and look forward to working with her again.
